Breast/chestfeeding your baby is natural, but it doesn't always come naturally.
Hi, I'm Rachel. I was raised in Yellowknife, spent much of my 20s down south, and moved back here to have my babies and raise my family. I work in health-related communications, and my interest in lactation and infant feeding was sparked by my own rollercoaster of experiences feeding my two sons.

I achieved my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist designation in early 2023. Supporting northern families with the information and support they need to feed their babies on their own terms has become a mission of mine. I believe that infant feeding is an often glossed over part of prenatal education, and that with more support and planning, families will be able to achieve their goals - whether that is breast/chest, bottle-feeding, or a combination of the two.

While I am passionate about the potential of human milk's health, social and environmental benefits, I believe that no parent should feel judged for how they feed their baby, and that all forms of feeding can be done with connection and love. My approach is straightforward, supportive and inclusive.
